"A bit of Brighter London" M/S of a dance floor seen through an open doorway. Dancers move around the room, some are in fancy dress. Closer shot of the dancers. "Willie Clarkson knew something when he tied a balloon to his partner's ankles and wagered it wouldn't survive the first round." M/S of a group in fancy dress. Willie is dressed as a kind of Middle Eastern Sheik. He larks around with some balloons.
"This was the first round" High angle shot of the dancers. "There were no remains. Then the frocks came - a dainty "Hockley" rest gown in gold and cerise tissue with 'Angel' sleeves of chiffon." High angle shot of the dance floor where a model parades around showing off her frock. M/S of the dress. The model holds out her arms to display the very elaborate sleeves of the dress. C/U of the bottom of the dress. She turns to show the back.
"And an oriental brocaded evening gown with a most original head-dress attached to the wrists" High angle of the dance floor. Another model steps out. Closer view of her dress which incorporates an unusual scarf affair which is wound around the head then attached to the wrists. Rather gorgeous. "Then the fancy dresses had their turn" High angle shot of a parade of party-goers dressed in outrageous fancy dress costumes. M/S of group of people in their finery. One is dressed as a Mexican, another as a chimney sweep, Little Bo Peep, a fairy, etc.
