    Various shots showing fishermen bringing in their catch with help from womenfolk of village. The women first help the men unload crates of fish from the trawler. The narrator describes them as "hardy, rosy-cheeked women who have grown used to lifting heavy loads". The women and children then help the men tow the boat up the beach. The men all wear waders and sou'westers, the women wear old fashioned looking headscarves.

    Various shots of women of all ages threading mussels onto string to be used as bait. Various shots of fish auction: villagers crowd around auctioneer, fresh fish are laid out on beach before them.

    The spelling is Newbiggin by the Sea or Newbiggin for short.
