Background: A new British formula one racing car, shown Jan 11 at Ripley, Surrey, UK, will be the only British racing car on view at the Brussels Automobile Salon opening Jan 15.
The car, named Emeryson, after its maker's name, 44-year-old Paul Emery, is the first of fifty planned to be built during the next two years. He and backer Alan Brown believe the car will be top of its class in racing by that time.
Racing drivers Ron Flockhart and Jack Fairman recently tested a prototype formula one Emeryson and reported on its performance and handling qualities.
