Background: Three West African leaders flew into Tunis, Nov 15, for talks with Tunisian President Bourguiba on the Algerian situation. Their arrival is the result of a meeting in Abidjan in the Ivory coast last month where African leaders from former French possessions met to discuss the Algerian problem.
The three leaders were President Ahidjo of the Cameroon Republic, Premier Diori of Niger and Premier Dia of Senegal. At the airport the three leaders spoke to the press but would not be drawn on subjects they would discuss with Tunisian President.
From the airport they drove to the Presidential Palace where President Bourguiba was waiting to greet them. While they are in Tunis it is thought they will meet leaders of the Algerian rebel Government, who have their headquarters in Tunis.
