    PRESIDENT GRUNITZKY AND PRESIDENT LAMIZANA HAD BOTH FLOWN INTO PARIS FROM TANANARIVE WHERE THEY HAVE BEEN ATTENDING THE AFRO-MALAGASY COMMON ORGANISATION (OCAM) SUMMIT MEETING.

    AFTER HIS MEETING WITH PRESIDENT DE GAULLE, PRESIDENT GRUNITZKY OF TOGO SAID THAT HIS COUNTRY RELIED ON FRENCH AID FOR HER ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT AND THAT THIS AID WOULD BE USED TO LAUNCH TOGO'S NEW FIVE-YEAR PLAN AND TO FINANCE VARIOUS OPERATIONS LINKED TO THE PLAN.

    PRESIDENT LAMIZANA TOLD PRESIDENT DE GAULLE THAT THERE WOULD BE A RETURN TO A POLITICAL REGIME IN UPPER VOLTA IN DUE COURSE. AFTERWARDS HE TOLD NEWSMEN THAT HIS CONCERN WAS FOR THE WELLBEING OF THE COUNTRY AS A WHOLE AND HE REAFFIRMED THAT THE AGREEMENT ON INDEPENDENCE INCLUDED A CONSTITUTION WHICH THE "GREAT MAJORITY OF THE BASUTO PEOPLE DO NOT WANT."
