    AMONG THE SPEAKERS AT THE FIRST SESSION OF THE CONGRESS WERE THE SENEGALESE MINISTER OF JUSTICE, MR BADARA M'BENGUE, M. RENE MAYER, PRESIDENT OF THE "FREE JUSTICE" ORGANISATION, AND MR SEAN MACBRIDE, SECRETARY-GENERAL OF THE INTERNATIONAL LEAGUE OF JURISTS.

    THE CONGRESS PRESIDENT, M. MAYER, THANKED THE SENEGALESE GOVERNMENT FOR HOLDING THE CONGRESS IN DAKAR AND RECALLED THAT THE FRENCH-SPEAKING CONGRESS FOLLOWED A SIMILAR MEETING SOME YEARS AGO WHEN AFRICAN JURISTS DISCUSSED THE LAW OF ENGLISH-SPEAKING COUNTRIES.
