    Belgrade, Yugoslavia.

    GV crowded stadium, teams running out at the double, & SV. Wright leading England. LV flags and crowd. GV Yugoslavs in dark jerseys kick off. SV pan, Yugoslavs with quick accurate passing, work ball down left wing, new English defence is soon in action, good positioning enables the, to deal comfortably with a centre from the left wing. SV broadcaster and photographer. SV Yugoslav's left wing again in action, but this time the English defence is drawn out of position and centre finds Mulutinovic unmarked but he blazes wildly over the bar. CU radio commentator. SV Jimmy Dickinson prompting English attack, he passes to Ivan Broadis who has to nod it back to Wright. Before receiving the return pass which enables him (Ivan Broadis) to run through and fire in a hard shot which however is well wide of the target. CU crowd. SV Bobek trying to draw the English defence out of position but wisely the Englishmen refuse to rush into the tackle, idea being to force Bobek to pass, to a team-mate who is already being closely watched by an Englishman. Bobek centres, ball is sent back to Milutinovic but he's off-side, & SV .....Milutinovic beats Roger Byrne although whistle has already blown, he goes on to beat Merrick. but it's no goal. SV crowd clapping and chanting to spur on the Yugoslavs. SV Billy Wright sends England away, Ronnie Allen collects, but his shot is well wide. SV crowd. Half time. No score. SV Yugoslav's attack spurred on by fanatical fans (build up this angle). CU crowd clapping and chanting. SV narrow escape for England as Merrick drops ball. SV crowd clapping and chanting. SV ball already in flight from free kick, Milutinovic to Mitic who shoots and scores. English defenders looking down in dumps. CU crowd going mad. GV paper being lit and waved all around the ground as teams leave field. LV burning paper being waved. SV Yugoslavia's players being embraced. CU Yugoslavian players being chaired off field.

    Note: In the first part of the film, a church dome is seen over people's heads. Cataloguer (I) was baptised in that church. This has nothing to do with the film, but I had a very emotional afternoon.
