  • Short Summary

Good footage of early Wright Brothers' plane on display in aircraft hangar.

  • Description

    Wright Plane in Hangar.

    Location of events unknown.

M/S of early plane by the Wright Brothers in a hangar. It is very primitive - hardly any body to it and with two parallel wings. It seems to be suspended from the roof as if part of an exhibition. Men mill about beneath the plane, looking up at it. Closer shots show a model man inside the plane. General views of people milling about in the foreground of the hangar with the plane in the background. Looks similar to the kind of displays seen at the Imperial War Museum at Duxford. C/Us of details of the plane.

  1. Colin Uttley says

This is the Wright Flyer on display at the Science Museum, London. It remained there until it was returned to the USA in 1947.
