    A catwalk fashion show for women with a fuller figure: Larger sized models parade the latest designs by Linda Leigh in a glamourous hotel interior. The male narrator comments that it's "a refreshing change from the pencil thin models we meet at most fashion shows."
    The fashions (all dresses, in Rayon, brocade and lace) are paraded up and down the catwalk, then shown in close-up. Various shots of elegant women in the audience.

    A fashion designer at a drawing board in a studio. Other designers discuss dress patterns and are seen looking at pictures of the latest Paris fashions. In the studio are rolls of fabric and a dressmakers dummy. Mr Louis Mint the creator of Linda Leigh fashions examines rolls of fabric with an assistant. He drapes the material over a dummy. Various shots of the whole process of dress design: A woman lays out the fabric and starts cutting the pattern. Machinists at work on the sewing machines. A curvy model has a dress fitting of in the studio with Mr Mint. Adjustments are made to the fashion drawing.

    Illustration of women in 19th century fashion. A reconstruction of models wearing large crinoline dresses with bustles and fans in an elegant salon. The dresses are from the collection of Doris Langley Moore. A model takes off her dress to reveal her petticoats, corset and bloomers. Various archive footage of women in the 1800's displaying their clothing and fabulous feather hats. The narrator comments "All the women of that period look like the figure head of the splendid old ships of the Nile"! Shots of the last Ascot before the first world war - amazing shots of women's fashions and men in top hats. Busy city street scene with open-top buses.
