    More shots of the women road building. M/S local MP Bernard Brain talking to one of the women. C/U ditto.

    The road is Plumberow Avenue, it used to be a muddy track. Both the Rural Council and the County Council refused to resurface the road, so the women the women took things into their own hands!

    Excellent item for showing reversal of traditional gender roles.
