    Former Prime Minister Winston Churchill presents Churchill Court to the British Legion. M/S of Churchill sitting on the back of an open car driving through a crowd to Churchill Court. The house was given to him by Mr. C.A. Hopkins as a mark of his appreciation to Churchill, the "Architect of Victory". M/S of Churchill shaking hands with a tiny girl upon arrival. Various C/U of Churchill, with Sir Frederick Maurice, chief of the British Legion, inspecting men of the Legion. M/S of Churchill, full face, standing on platform giving the V-sign (as in 'v' for victory) as men of the Legion carrying flags file past. The men marching return the V-sign. Various shots of the crowd watching the ceremony. Bunting is strung along in front of the house.

    The narrator comments that many present commented "on the tired lines in the indomitable bulldog jaw" of Churchill.
