Miami in Florida, United States of America.

M/S of pilot Captain Lewis A Yancey sitting in the cockpit of his Autogyro; he says that a flight of this distance (Miami to Havana) has never been attempted before. We see the Autogyro taking off. Various shots that seem to be taken from the Autogyro show sights on the journey; brief aerial shots of Miami.

A transport plane passes as we reach the sea and a liner and a schooner are on the ocean. Moro Castle (?) at the entrance to the harbour of Havana. Air to air shot of the Autogyro flying over Havana and coming in to land. The waiting crowd hand Yancey a small keg of horseshoe nails for good luck.
