• Short Summary

A horse is attached a winch by a rope. As the horse walks the rope is pulled and a tree is felled.

  • Description

Introductory intertitle: "Most people chop down trees... others blow them up! Here's a horse that winds them down... the Champion tree-puller of Kent!

Elderly man talks to his horse, encouraging it to walk forwards. Sounds like the horse is called Jess or Bess. Horse passes the camera. L/S shows that the horse is attached to a winching device that is being used to pull a tree down - as the horse walks the rope is pulled. Various shots of the horse walking in a circle and of the tree coming down.
