• Short Summary

Pekingese dogs and their owners at the National Pekingese Show in America.

  • Description

Full titles read: "Why cameramen go to the dogs (Pekingese) - Sometimes stray glimpses behind the scenes of a dog show reveal other things beside prizewinners!"

    United States of America.

Various shots of Pekingese dogs that have been entered in the National Pekingese Show; they are sitting on a table with their lady owners standing behind them. We then see various shots of Pekingese dogs with their owners, including a little boy who looks very unhappy because his dog hasn't won a prize - he refuses to talk to a girl whose dog has just won first prize in the contest. The same boy looks happier on his own as he talks about his dog, who is his best friend (aah!).

A large man with a tiny Peke says that his dog, 'Attaboy Hot-cha-cha', is a true pal. Three men crowd round a glamorous blonde lady with a Peke and take her picture. They ask for her address and phone number, saying they'll send her some photos. She says "I've had pictures made by you fellas before, and my husband isn't doing anything at present". (This all looks quite staged.)
