Backstage scenes as the moving stage and complex lighting systems of the Coliseum are operated.

Closer shot of the men pulling on ropes. "Under the engineer's control, the giant revolving stage - the largest in the world - moves round, propelled by its electric motors - " C/U of a man in the wings operating the stage machinery. C/U of the revolving machinery underneath the stage. A man rides on the construction as it moves.
"And another scene silently moves into place." M/S of men moving pieces of scenery around on stage. Most of the men wear black overalls but the supervisor wears white. M/S of two men backstage throwing lots of switches and levers. "The top-lights are brightened - " Low angle shot of lines of light. "And everything is ready for the unique "shot" of the rise of the curtain - " (shot missing?) "Ring down the curtain!" Ends here. Story incomplete.
