    Titles read: "WESTERN LINK".

New York, United States of America and Bermuda.

Various shots show the exterior and interior of a luxury aeroplane, taking passengers from New York to Bermuda. It certainly looks very luxurious inside, with passengers sitting around in a lounge area, drinking and reading. A man stands and looks out of a window. Stewards in white jackets serve drinks and food to men sitting in comfortable-looking seats with enormous food tables. A man reclines his seat to have a nap.

Captain Griffiths Powell, in charge of Survey Flights across the Atlantic, looks out of a plane window with binoculars - he looks more like the captain of a ship. Nice view of clouds as we fly through the air. Aerial shots of Bermuda coming into view.

The aircraft featured here is a Short S.23 Empire, Reg. No. G-ADUU, named "Cavalier".

Just a few months later, in 1939, this very same aircraft ditched and sank....
