• Short Summary

US emissary Wendell Willkie arrives back in America after his tour around the world.

  • Description

Titles read: "WENDELL WILLKIE BACK IN USA".

    United States of America.

Early morning shots of Wendell Willkie arriving back at an American aerodrome in a bomber after his seven week trip around the world as President Roosevelt's representative. He shakes hands with some people waiting to welcome him (pressmen?).

C/U of Willkie making a speech (presumably after his arrival). He says that Germany will never conquer Russia, but urges for the Allies to get on the offensive and open a second front in Europe, "not necessarily across the English Channel from England". He says that is the only way by which this war can be concluded.

Then we see Willkie going into the White House, with his private report on his trip.
