    L/S American President Dwight Eisenhower (Ike) walking down the steps from his aircraft at Andrews Air Force Base, near Washington, after having been around the world organising the summit meeting. His wife, Mamie, greets him at the foot of the steps and kisses him. M/S two men in crowd watching and smiling. Eisenhower walks onto the dais to make his speech saying everywhere he went people sent back goodwill messages, and now he is too tired to say anything erudite or informative. Eisenhower runs off the dais to his wife. M/S crowds holding sparklers lining the route to the White House. Eisenhower leans out of the car window, waves to the crowds and makes V for victory sign, pan to crowds with sparklers.
