    Various shots of troopship docking, it is loaded with repatriated prisoners of war. The men come ashore, some are injured and have to be carried on stretchers, all seem in good spirit.

    At military reception centre. Various shots of a pipe band leading in the ex-POWs who are able to march, they are cheered by fellow soldiers. M/S of the ex-POWs queuing up for pay and special rations before taking 28 days leave. An Officer explains that the double ration book they receive will get them things they have missed during their years in captivity. More shots of ex-POWs receiving ration books and cash. Good C/U of ration book.

    Various C/Us of repatriated prisoners, including London born Japanese serving with R.A.M.C. Various shots of the men talking to interviewer about their prison camp experiences. Interviewer talks to man from Glasgow captured in Greece, man from Bradford captured in Boulogne and a Londoner captured in Norway. The Londoner makes a joke about Hitler and comments that he thinks the Germans are changing now. Various shots group of soldiers singing "Bless 'em All".
