British cops use radar speedtraps and Germans use jail for traffic offences and zebra crossings.

Germany. GV Castle Gandersheim in Hanover where the traffic delinquents following court sentences are detained. CU Prisoner walking into cell followed by warder who closes the door. CU Warder locking the cell door. CU Offender lying on his bunk thinking about the accident. Scene dissolves to close up of him changing gear in his car - dissolves - drink being poured and again scenes dissolves to his hands on the steering wheel and then the car begins to skid as a large lorry and trailer come across his path - dissolves - as the front part of his car skids dissolves to an ambulance driving away - dissolves to the folder on his case followed by close up of it - dissolves - to the offender still lying on his bunk in the cell thinking he gets off of the bunk. CU Offender seated in his cell smoking, looking at the barred windows and thinking hard. GV People on zebra crossing, a saloon car squeals to a halt. and one of the men of the crossing turns and runs back again and as he does to another vehicle runs onto the crossing and hits the man and he lets out a yell. CU Man on pavement turns and looks. SV Driver of the vehicle in the accident gets out and the pedestrian is just lifting himself off of the front of the wagon and then he starts talking to the driver in German. CU Driver of the first car talking. SV Driver of the wagon and the pedestrian watching as the first car drives away.
