Excellent story shows Hollywood stars setting off in the Victory Caravan to boost war loans.
Titles read: "VICTORY TRAIN".
Los Angeles in California, United States of America.
Various shots of a group of Hollywood film stars setting off on the Victory Caravan (train) to boost American War Loans across the country.
Stars seen include: Charles Boyer, Cary Grant, Ann Sothern, Frank McHugh, Alan Hale (?), Claudette Colbert, Desi Arnaz, Joan Bennett, Jerry Colonna, Frances Langford, Eleanor Powell, Charlotte Greenwood, Pat O'Brien (?).
Colonna and Frances Langford push in front of some sailors (in a good-natured way!) to board the train. Two pretty girls (who look familiar - one looks a little like Alexis Smith) are escorted to another door by several strapping sailors.
Charlotte Greenwood and Eleanor Powell are hoisted into a freight wagon by sailors. They laugh and blow kisses as the train starts off. Sailors and soldiers run alongside the train as and a whole group of stars waves goodbye from the rear observation platform as it pulls out.
