    This clip's current date of 1935 is incorrect - this Academy ceremony, honouring the best films of 1935, was held on 5 March 1936.

    The location is the Biltmore Hotel, Los Angeles.

    "M/S of man handing over Oscar" - the man is the film director D W Griffith.
