• Short Summary

Veteran cars start off on a rally from Ramsgate.

  • Description

    Ramsgate, Kent.

Various shots of a Veteran Car Rally at Ramsgate. Cars are prepared for a drive by their owners - it looks pretty cold for July. One of the cars has a little flag on the bonnet reading 'Barnsley - Ramsgate'. The Mayor (of Ramsgate?) rides in the back seat of one of the old crocs. A small crowd of people watch the cars go by.

Identifiable cars seen in this clip are:

At 0:05, a 1902 De Dion Bouton (Reg. No. BM 4).

    At 0:13, a 1900 Pieper two-seater, (Reg. No. A 1254).

The vehicle at 0:24 is possibly, but not certainly, an 1898 Beeston Humber tricycle.
