    Various shots show the fire brigade of Venice springing into action when they get an alarm call. Great shots of the firemen coming out of a tunnel and into daylight in five 'fire engine' boats and moving swiftly along the canals to send the jets from their fire hoses up into the air. It must be an exercise - there is no fire to be seen!

    At 00:28 the firemen pass under the Rialto Bridge.

    At 00:37 they head down the Canale Grande towards the church of Santa Maria della Salute.

    At 00:38 we see the monastery of San Giorgio Maggiore.
