At the Savoy Hotel in London we see various shots of stars arriving at the Variety Club Christmas Luncheon. Actors David Kossoff and Ronald Fraser hand presents to the nurses. Comedian Dickie Henderson is dressed as Father Christmas. Actress / film star Liz Fraser hands him some gifts and he pulls off his beard to give her a kiss. She makes a face and they both pull beard fluff out of their mouths.

"Variety's Elder Statesman" Jack Goodlatte, Managing Director of ABPC CJ Latta, Lord Herbert Morrison and actor Ian Hendry hand over gifts. Film star Kenneth More kisses Sister Gage then calls over Matron Rose of Plaistow hospital and gives her a real smacker on the lips then looks shocked!

Various shots in a children's ward at St Mary's Hospital as we see nurses decorating the Christmas tree and handing out presents. Matron Rose holds a little boy who is handed a toy horse. Father Christmas arrives and gives out presents to children in bed. A small boy in bed plays with a Mickey Mouse toy with a revolving tail.

Various shots of the Duke of Edinburgh (Prince Philip) visiting the Harringay Boys' Club. He walks onto a basketball court where boys are practising then watches boys on a trampoline and a table tennis match. Financier Charles Clore is in the royal entourage.
