First is Jack Hawkins and wife, police pushing back crowds. Mr and Mrs Richard Todd arrive and smile. Next to arrive is Gary Cooper. This premiere, organised by the Variety Club rased over £4000 for charity.
Warner theatre at night. This is premiere of "Helen of Troy". Several shots of the celebrities mingling in the foyer - C. J. Latta with wife, Janette Scott, Diana Dors.

Queen Elizabeth II and Princess Margaret walking past line of performers in glittery costumes. Various shots of the circus performing. Prince Philip cutting the ribbon - probably opening recreation ground for children. Abrupt end of the story.
All these glittering events were organised by Variety Club and raised substantial amounts of money for childrens' charities.
