M/S as she takes the telegram to show her little girl, it is from her husband George saying he will be home soon, C/U of the writing. Good shots of inside of prefabricated house as she prepares for the homecoming, she goes to the bedroom to brush her hair and get out his suit. C/U of their daughter drawing in the living room. C/U of his photograph next to the telegram envelope. Mrs Shea puts the kettle on in the modern kitchen and prepares tea. He knocks on door, she opens it and goes to kiss him.
