    A searchlight fitted to the wing of a plane assists in finding targets at night. MS the searchlight situated under the wing of the plane. CU the searchlight. CU the searchlight operator at work in the nose of the plane. MS as the beam cuts through the darkness and rests on the target until bombs are released. Various shots the plane flying over the sea and switching on the light as it nears the target. Various shots as the bombs are released as the light is switched off, the plane climbs steeply.
