Various shots of Lieutenant General George S Patton inspecting Polish troops dressed in British uniform. Troops present arms. Armoured cars with crews lined up in front. Patton stands on top of an armoured car and looks through field glasses / binoculars.
Patton watches drive past of scout cars and armoured vehicles. Nice C/Us of Patton laughing and chatting with an officer. Patton sees men at work and water purification system in use. He tastes the water in a cup and grins. Polish officer pins a medal on Patton's tunic. Patton pins insignia on the man's shoulder. Patton rides about in a scout car inspecting the troops.
Amendment July 2016: General Wladyslaw Anders, commander of Polish Troops, is accompanying General Patton.
It also appears that this visit took place on 23rd December 1943 in Qassasin, Egypt. The period 1944-45 is impossible as the 2nd Polish Corps were then fighting in the Italy campaign.
