A woman with a small dog sits on the steps of a house and peels a vegetable or fruit while her husband fixes some of the planks on their porch. Good for illustrating American depression era.

    Various shots of miners going to work down a coal mine, working on a seam down there, transporting coal on trains underground. Commentator talks of the 1937 Coal Act that fixes minimum prices for all grades of coal and has helped restore this industry to normal. General shots of the mine machinery above ground.
