• Short Summary

Veteran steam engines are contrasted with modern streamlined trains in New York.

  • Description

Titles read: "UP AND DOWN THE RAILWAY LINES!"

New York, United States of America.

Various shots of veteran steam engines moving along a railway track at the end of a railway convention. The old engines seen are 'Tom Thumb', 'Galloway', 'Bill Mason' and a more modern, unnamed engine. As a contrast we see five modern, streamlined steam trains moving along the tracks, side by side.

Two steam trains are seen tearing along the track. The driver jumps out of one of them, just before they have a huge head-on crash (staged)! A cloud of steam obscures the view of the two trains.
