L.M.S. The assembly. The Chairman still speaking. M.S. The Chairman and Secretaries on the dais. They get up. Chairman departs and Trygve Lie welcomes the newly-elected Chairman, Dr. Herbert Evatt, of Australia. Evatt takes his place in Chair and speaks: (Nat. Snd.) Thanks delegates for electing him. L.S. Assembly. Evatt rejects possibility of adjournment and suggests continuing session.
