• Short Summary

Underground offices and factory of the Ministry of Aircraft Production.

  • Description

    Titles read: "UNDERGROUND FACTORIES".

    Somewhere in Britain.

Various shots show the underground factories and offices of the Ministry of Aircraft Production. Men and women at work in the Control Room and Drawing Room - nice shot of a draughtswoman at drawing board. Several shots of women and men working in the underground factories, making aircraft parts. Men work on the extension of the factory. Workers leave above ground entrance to the factory.

We then see another subterranean factory being built. Some men take a lift down to the construction site where workmen are digging, drilling and pulling wagons of soil about. Men walk about the constructed corridors - looks like an blank tube station. Men adjust the air conditioning pipes; others work on the construction of the factory kitchens and washrooms. Workers mill about the tunnels.
