Lord Derby reviews a military group referred to here as Ulster's Guardians of Peace - maybe the Ulster Special Constabulary; the Black & Tans; who after the partition of Ireland in 1920; were officially recognised and paid by the British Government; they imposed martial law on much of Northern Ireland and dealt harshly w/ the opposition. This is a big rally of these thugs - pan across park w/ many of them standing. CU Lord D. on platform making speech. 2 rows of the guardians of peace. The Black and Tans march past spectators in park. Lord D. & other bigwigs on platform. More of marching.
