Captain of plane, Carl Ballard, speaking to press. Commentary tells us that this hijack, the fourth of a US airliner, has prompted the Senate to vote for the death penalty for air piracy. It also states that the presence of Dr Ayala on the plane embarrassed Fidel Castro and ensured the quick release from Havana airport.
