The "two men" are C W A Scott and Tom Campbell-Black the 1st and 2nd pilots of DH 88 Comet G-ACSS Grosvenor House. This aircraft and crew were the eventual winners of the 1934 Mildenhall, England to Melbourne, Australia air race AKA the Macrobertson race after it's sponsor an Australian confectionery magnate. They are discussing the race route.
