    Man on rostrum during the session of the United Nations conference reading a letter - natural sound. He reads the letter which recommends the appointment of Mr Trygve Lie as Secretary General of the United Nations Organisation. Various shots of the delegates voting. Man reads the countries and the representatives go and place their votes into box. Man reading the voting results, announcing that Mr Trygve Lie is elected as the Secretary General of UNO - another man repeats it in French.

    Quite loud man speaking from rostrum - American delegate. He shouts, bangs his fist and then calms down a bit. He talks about money - presumably aid to undeveloped. Delegates applaud after his speech.
