    Colonel Hemenway, the Assistant Air Attache at the American Embassy, the Lord Mayor of Nottingham (Alderman WGE Dyer), the Sheriff of Nottingham and rose-grower / gardener Harry Wheatcroft are also present. C/U of commemorative plaque near tree in the ground. The Bishop of Sherwood blesses the site.
