C/Us of sailor at the helm. Ship's telegraph. Shot of prow of boat, fishing baskets piled up. Shots of the mechanism that holds the net ropes to the boat. Man signalling out of the window of the cabin. Man on deck looks through binoculars. Fishermen emerge from the cabin. Men work the machine that lets the nets out. Men begin to lower the nets. Nets are lowered over the side of the boat. C/U of a rope being winched. Top shot of the net being lowered. C/Us of hands dragging in the net. Net full of fish is brought on to the boat. Bottom of the net is opened and fish fall out onto boat deck. Shot of the ship's masts. Two men throw net over the side. Wooden board is lowered into the sea. Fishermen sort the fish into different types. The fish are thrown into baskets. A man guts some large flat fish. Closer shots of fish being put into baskets and gutted.
