• Short Summary

Troops in Northern Ireland demonstrate transportation of wounded men.

  • Description

    Titles read: "TRANSPORTING WOUNDED".

    Northern Ireland.

Various shots show soldiers demonstrating how to transport injured men. They lower a stretcher case down a cliff face. Another 'injured' man (an American soldier volunteer) is transported across a river on a stretcher attached to an overhead wire. This involves a soldier swimming across the river first, in all his clothes, and making a log tripod to support the wire on the opposite bank. The American is given a cigarette when he reaches the other side of the river.
