    Historical pageant to celebrate the Centenary of the Liverpool-Manchester railway. People dressed as ancient Egyptians walk across outdoor stage dragging mock rock block. People dressed as ancient Chinese walk across carrying their overlord on a large sedan style chair. People dressed as Arabs of biblical times walk across with camels. People dressed in old English costumes cross the arena in stage coach accompanied by soldiers on horseback.

    Town criers make an announcement. People in Victorian costume cross the stage.

    A mock up of a very early railway engine travels along a track carrying a band and old style carriages. The 'Victorians' get on board. The train moves off.
