Day in the life of Hansom cab driver Tom Robinson and his horse, Dolly.
Titles read: "Tom & Dolly".
Good shot of the end of a London Mews. An old man called Tom Robinson opens the doors of a stable and backs his horse, Dolly, into the Hansom cab that is kept there. Tom and Dolly set off out of the mews and drive to Victoria railway station; good shot of the horse cab arriving.
Nice shot of a man in a bowler hat getting out of a first class train carriage. The man walks across the forecourt of Victoria station to where Tom and Dolly are waiting. The man pats Dolly then gets into the cab. The cab arrives at a city street and the man gets out and goes into a building.
Tom and Dolly stop at a water trough. Dolly has a drink and Tom fetches his sandwiches. Dolly tries to eat the sandwiches but Tom moves them away, puts a nosebag on the horse and tucks into his sarnies. We then see the pair arriving back at the mews at the end of the day.
