As daylight comes, they get ready for bed and go to sleep. Several shots of the men cleaning and maintaining the searchlight equipment. In daylight training sessions a man sits in a chair, looking up at the sky with his binoculars. Sound detectors are seen in use, described as "the discoveries of science".
