    01:06:29 - M/S of Queen Mary and King George V emerging from a building, accompanied by other men and women, probably officials.

    01:06:45 - L/S of a London bus turning a corner, cars and taxis drive through as well. M/S of people walking about in Hyde (?) park. M/S of rows of people sat on chairs. M/S of young ladies in the latest fashions sat at the back. Various good shots of fashionable people in the park.

    01:07:17 - M/S of a hunting party riding down a lane and across a field.

    01:07:31 - Scenes showing effects of unemployment. M/S of a man carrying a sack (of coal ?), other men stand around then come up to him as he walks towards them. M/S of small children picking through small heaps of coal on the ground, various shots as they put what they can find in a sack. M/S of railway signals.

    01:07:59 - L/S as the camera pans across Empire exhibition at Wembley. M/S of a group of five policemen stood among the half built exhibition after workers have gone on strike.

    01:08:15 - M/S of large crowds outside Caxton Hall for Westminster Abbey by-election, the camera pans across, there are several policemen amongst them. M/S of the winner, Mr O. Nicholson, making a speech on some steps while people stand around him. M/S as he stands up in the back of an open car and waves to the crowds as it drives away from the Hall. M/S of Socialist candidate Mr Fenner Brockway also stood on steps making a speech, a little girl stands in front of him. M/S's of Winston Churchill stood on a platform making a passionate speech to a small crowd, he was runner-up in this election.

    01:08:50 - L/S of crowds of people gathered in Trafalgar Square to protest about unemployment. M/S of various banners including 'Communist Party' and 'Bethnal Green organised unemployed.' M/S of a man with a moustache and small round glasses making a passionate speech to the crowds.

    01:09:08 - M/S of a band marching along in front of people carrying flags which say 'British Fascists.'

    01:09:21 - M/S of two men on a platform making a speech, M/S as crowds give three cheers.

    01:09:29 - M/S as the camera pans across Chequers. M/S of Prime Minister Stanley Baldwin stood on the steps of the house with some huntsmen, the hounds rush up to them and he bends down to pat one. M/S of him petting the dogs, M/S as he hands a drink to a huntsman who drinks it in one and hands the glass back. L/S of the hunt outside Chequers.

    01:10:11 - L/S of large crowds gathered outside Buckingham Palace, as new Government is formed. A car drives through the gates, L/S as it continues. L/S as another car drives out. M/S of furniture being loaded into a removal van as Stanley Baldwin prepares to leave Downing Street. M/S of Mrs Baldwin walking out. M/S of a wardrobe being loaded onto the van outside the door of Number 10.

    01:10:55 - C/U of new Prime Minister Ramsay MacDonald sat down, a man stands behind with his hands on his shoulders. L/S as the camera pans across the new Labour Government with MacDonald in the middle smoking.

    01:11:24 - M/S as Ramsay MacDonald comes out of the door at Chequers holding a stick, another man is with him. L/S as he walks along with his colleagues and friends.

    01:11:45 - L/S of King George V and Queen Mary riding along in a carriage to the Wembley exhibition, mounted Guards follow them and crowds stand at the side and cheer. L/S's as they enter the Stadium to cheers from the crowd. C/U of a boy scout pulling a rope which unfurls the flags of the Empire.

    01:12:27 - M/S of the King at the exhibition reading a speech, we hear it through lots of static and interference as it was the first of the King's speeches to be broadcast on radio. Various shots of radio appliances and technicians at work as the speech is being broadcast. L/S of a big aerial mast. M/S of two men and a woman listening to early radio, they look to be having trouble hearing it.

    01:12:59 - M/S of comedian Harry Tate and two sidekicks, (one is probably his son). The son carries a ladder along outside and manages to hit both other men in the back with it. M/S as they prop it up against a tree and hold the aerial they are trying to fix, Harry's jacket ends up attached to it and he has to fight to get it back. They pull the ladder away and the young man ends up dangling from a tree branch.

    01:13:34 - Title - "Time to Remember End of Part One."
