    A workman is seen trying to climb inside a giant telephone handset but he can not get in because the flighty girl is already there - this represents telephone line being engaged. Farmer driving a tractor - the workman is trying to get a message to the farmer to tell him his new tractor is ready.

    Sequence showing how telephones are used on the front line and the home front: soldier in trench using field telephone, telegraph wires leading to airfield, supply depot, munitions factory.
