    Royal Albert Hall, London. The Chelsea Arts Ball on New Year's Eve.

    LS General view of the mass of dancers on the floor. 4,000 dancers pack the floor. CU Various close ups of couples in fancy dress dancing. CU a man doing a snake dance. VS of dancers. MS the lighted phoenix high above the crowd, which was the only lighting as 12 o'clock struck.

    VS Balloons showering down and people struggling to catch them. A general scramble ensues. LS of decorated float - it is called Eve and is decorated with naked young women. MS One of tableaux in the parade, a decorated cart full of girls, marked "For Export Only" is overturned by the mad crowd. LS Revellers breaking up tables, chairs and fitments.
