    Exterior of Roehampton Tennis Club. Trees in the foreground. Young people playing tennis (paperwork suggests they are from Malaysia). Umpire marks down score. More tennis being played, there are a few spectators in the foreground.

    C/U line marker machine and feet of groundsman as lines are marked at Centre Court, Wimbledon. Man marks lines on court. Wide shot of Centre Court. Maureen Connolly (Little Mo) and Teach Tennant come down steps from plane. Newsreel and press photographers. C/U Maureen Connolly, she makes a gesture at the camera. The draw for players and seeds, Colonel Legge officiates.

    Susan Partridge practices tennis. Line of four waiters carrying trays. They go into large tent. Workmen carry out preparations for the tournament. Men prepare tent. Man practising tennis. Two workmen put up sign at the North East Entrance to Wimbledon. Players practising inter cut with various notices being put up around the club.

    C/U Wimbledon trophies. Three women seated on floor with blankets at night (they appear to be queuing for tickets). Others in the queue, they drink tea. Policeman and Colonel Macaulay walk along queue. Tickets are handed out. More people in queue. L/S Wimbledon (possibly early morning). Daylight and people are still queuing outside for tickets. A bus stops at a bus stop and people get off. Wimbledon main gates. Three seated women in queue eat sandwiches. They are wearing headscarves and are wrapped up against the cold. C/U people reading newspapers. Dark clouds pass over head. Queue outside the Club. Troops marching along towards the Club.
