  • Description

    "Every now and again someone gets up and tells the world a new secret of health. This time it's watercress, so Eve sent down to the beds at Wallingford to watch the ladies take the cress out of the water." L/S of a field of watercress.

    Various shots of workers picking the crop. Children assist. The cress is placed in small wooden baskets which let the water through. The workers have to paddle through water in the field. M/S of group of women working at the bottom of small waterfalls packing the watercress.

    "So you see, there are other beds for Eve to look after, besides the feather variety - " Closer view of the women at work.
