    Early French comedy film - The Runaway Horse. Le cheval emballe.

    Roundsman leaves his horse in street while he makes a delivery and chats to the concierge and the maid. On returning to his horse and cart he finds that the horse has eaten hay from shop display and the roundsman drives his van away chased by the shopkeeper. The cart knocks over people stalls and ladders and is chased by an ever increasing number of people. On arriving back at the stable a hose is played on the chasing crowd when they arrive.

    Note that the clip currently has no date range.

    This film was made in 1908. Its original title was "Le cheval emballe".

    The film may well be incomplete - sources indicate that its original running time was nearer 7 minutes.
