    Durgapur Steel Works - various shots. Red smoke around. Workers greeting the Queen and Duke - loud cheers. Several shots of the Queen shaking hands with engineers and touring the factories.

    Calcutta - huge crowds greet the Queen as she drives in open car through the streets. Queen visits the National Agriculture fair -crowds a the entrance. Queen is given a tour around the fair.

    Several shots of the Queen and Duke visiting Victoria Memorial. Queen Victoria's Monument is seen.

    Several shots of the Queen and Duke attending the horse racing event organised in the Queen's honour. Queen Elizabeth II Cup horse race is the main event of the day. Various shots of the crowds, tote boards, horses being paraded, horses racing and the people watching. Queen watching from the royal box. Queen presents the winner's owner, Mrs Billimoria, with a cup.

    Britannia BOAC plane landing at Bangalore. Maharaja of Bangalore greets the Queen and Duke at he airport. Queen is presented with flowers and Duke with a garland. Queen drives in open car, huge crowds cheer. As the Queen arrives on 150th anniversary of the Indian Biblical Society, she is presented with a copy of Bible in Hindi. Huge crowds cheer as the queen drives through the streets.

    Several shots of the Queen visiting Lal Bagh - probably the best botanical gardens in the entire country - says voiceover. Queen plants a tree in the gardens. Queen walking through masses of colourful flowers. Queen also visits the Agricultural Show. Fantastic shots of the great assortment fruit and vegetables. Brilliant shot of an old woman sitting in the middle of pile of fruit and vegetables - tomatoes particularly appealing.

    Cut to the Queen's visit to Holy City of Benares (Banaras, Varanasi) - there are over 2000 Temples there. Many monks exiled from Tibet are here - says voiceover. Various shots of the Queen surrounded by monks walking around the city. Several great shots of Bahala (sp?) - shrine of Buddha. Great golden Buddha statue in the golden circle.

    Maharaja of Benares' palace. Queen is guest of the Maharaja at his palace.

    Procession of fourteen heavily painted and decorated elephants is to go through the city in the Queen's honour. She and Maharaja are to ride on one of them. Various shots of the Queen and Maharaja riding on the elephant. Huge crowds cheer as the procession moves through the streets.

    Queen dismounts and gets on a barge that will take her to ride along Holy River Ganges. Brilliant shots of the lines of temples on banks of Ganges packed with people cheering the Queen as she sails along. Some people bathing in the Holy River.
